The TRUE L87 Senior Goalie Blocker are perfect for that goaltender looking for elite-level performance with a more classic look and feel. If you’re familiar with TRUE and Lefevre’s work on the L12.2, you may notice this blocker has many similar specs.

External Material
The L87 blocker is wrapped in traditional jenpro synthetic leather, a classic option for goalie gear due to its waterproof properties and smooth surface.

Internal Construction
The board is made of thick HD foam with a 595 blocker face edge. 595 is what Lefevre uses to describe the size of the blocking surface. The 595 specs is the most allowed as per NHL rules. The board composition highlights a major feature TRUE and Lefevre wanted to implement into their blocker to match the L12.2. pads, which was rebound control. The blocker is effective in bouncing the puck away with ease.

Palm Material
The palm is made of SureGrip material for superior comfort and feel. SureGrip has been used consistently in TRUE and Lefevre’s goalie protective equipment because it keeps the gear comfortable and gives them a better grip in areas that would need it.

Side Hand Protection
The L12.2 has straight finger protective pads on the side made of HD foams similar to the board face. The straight finger protection keeps your fingers secure from slashing and doesn’t impede the ability to hold the stick. True and Lefevre added a replaceable pillow padding along the thumb secured by a velcroed casing.

Cuff
The L87 blocker uses a half cuff style for better mobility. A velcro wrist strap reinforced with jenpro is on the wrist for quick adjustment and to keep the blocker steady while you play.

Hand Protection
HD foam has been added to the back of the fingers for increased protection against shock and slashing. Soft foam has also been placed against the backhand for further protection and comfort.
